MESSAGE FROM SECRETARY GENERAL

Dear delegates,

Welcome to INTERSCHOOL BBPSMUN Conference 2016!

“You can do a lot with diplomacy, but with diplomacy backed up by force you can get a lot more done.”

Kofi Annan

It is truly a tremendous privilege for me to be the Secretary General for the Interschool Model United Nations to be held at Bal Bharati Public School Dwarka, and my esteemed honour to welcome you to the conference.
INTERSCHOOL BBPSMUN is home to young, innovative and passionate minds, which coupled with their innovative desires, have a clear vision. This vision very simply, is and will continue to be the proliferation of United Nations Values.
We at BBPSMUN give a platform to young student delegates to discuss, analyse and hopefully resolve in their capacities some of the world’s most pressing issues. The conference promises to be a thought provoking one, which will put to test the composure as well as impulsiveness of the Committee’s delegates.
An easy mantra to be relieved of MUN fear is- ‘Relax, experience and learn’. Sometimes it not only about winning, but what you gain from your experience. If you feel the pressure, it’s a good sign as this will help you to sail as a well informed delegate. Work hard to make the most of this conference and I am sure that when you step out of room, you will witness a transition in yourself, a transition into a better individual!

I am also pleased to extend my sincere gratitude to the Secretariat and the Executive Board who have left no stones unturned in discharging their responsibilities. They spread so much of energy, zest and zeal that one cannot help being inspired by them.
On the brink of an entirely new and fresh BBPSMUN experience as its Secretary General, I am even more anxious and eager to witness the success of the Conference 2016. I earnestly look forward to meeting young people of like minds who believe in the doctrines of tolerance and not of violence, of freedom and not of oppression, of justice over injustice, and of equality and not discrimination.
Happy MUNing J
Yours truly,
Sarthak Arora
